They released an album a couple years ago that simply knocked me over. This album shows it was no fluke; Emmanuelle LeBlanc sings and plays a gazillian things like mandolins and whistles, Pascal Miousse sings, plays violin and doubles on guitar whle Pastelle LeBlanc sings and switches between piano and accordion on the north of the border album of Cajun music. Don’t forget; they were called “Cajuns” because they were “ACADIANS”!!! So, we stole the music from Canada!
So much for the history lesson. Here, you’ve got some great fiddling and dancing feet on “Tois Blizzards,” “Je Vou AIme Tant” and “Coeur En Mer” (with a pair of mandolins teaming up) that will make you two step to heaven. Energetic vocals by Pastelle on “Terre Rouge” and her teaming with Emmanuelles’s whistle on “Ma Mie Tant Blanche” form an irresistible combination. Lovely accordions wheeze with delight on” Coz Du Sud” and “Valse A Alonzo” while Pastelle’s piano flows on “Helene.” This is a warm joy to behold.
