This five song ep features the Nation Beat band of Scott Kettner/dr, Fabiana Masili/voc, Mark Marshall/g, Chris Venditti/b, Fernando Saci/perc and Joe gelini-Irving Banister (Cha Wa) bringing in vocals and various percussion into the mix. The music itself is filled with Masili’s usky voice on material such as the funky and fun Caribbean “Casa Diamante” while a carnival sounds like it just came down the street as Silverio Pessoa songs on “Vou Canta Esse Coco.” Lots of festive brass fills the air on a rousing take of “Liza Jane” and you’ll not be able to sit still on the percussive atmosphere on “Golden Crown.” Not for the introverted!
