John Basile plays guitar and a wide variety of electronics on this clever tribute to The Fab Four. Except for George Harrison’s “While My Guitar Gently Weeps,” all the tunes are by Lennon and McCartney, and they all work well under the influence of Basile’s touch. A take of “I Want To Hold Your Hand” has a tinge of Grant Green swing, and “Can’t Buy Me Love” is a swinging affair. Some rich textures with Midi Programming are developed on “A Day In The Life” and “Penny Lane.” Through it all, Basile displays a clean and clear touch on his solos, framed perfectly on the gentle “Here, There and Everywhere” and “In My Life.” A splendid time is guaranteed for all.
