Cesar Orozco plays piano and keyboards here as he leads a core team of Rodner Padilla/b, Francisco Vielma/perc and Euro Zambrano/dr and a rotating team of guests through some exciting Latin jazz sounds. The rhythm team simmers with piano and percussion in overdrive on the title track and during the funky and tricky counter rhythms of “ Arrival.” Yosvany Terry and Paquito D’Rivera lends soprano saxes to the sleek “galeron” and linear “Jorozco” respectively while Linda Briceno adds caressing vocals to “A Nightgale Sang In Berkeley Aquare” aned her trumpet to the bouncing to the electir bassed “Vladitimba.” It’s pretty hard to sit still to this one; the grooves run deeper than a post tropical storm rivulet.
