Guitarist Pablo Villegas delivers a wondrous tribute to all things America, North, Central and South, on this wondrously warm album. His touch takes you from Brazil to Venezuela to the good ol’ USA here, showing the links that 6 strings can provide. A sensuous “Tango En Skai” has you gliding across the dance floor, and passionate flamenco is provided on”Granada.” Rich folk sounds penetrate on “Sons De Carrilhoes” and a pair of “Preludes” by Villa –Lobos are rich and deep. A trio of songs from West Side Story are highlighted by a longing “ Maria” and finger picking good times are delivered on “Kansas City Kitty” and “Big Eared Mule.” What a joyful panorama!
