Rich toned vocalist Michelle Carr teams up in cozy and soulful fashion with guitarist Mark Whitfield, James Genus and Mark Whitfield Jr. on this collection of (mostly) original collaborations. The material sounds like a throwback to late 60s and early 70s. Tunes like the flowing “Teardrops On My Pillow” have a old world charm, while the easy sway on “Give Change A Try” and “Onyx” meld voice and guitar like an intimate night at a coffee shop. She sounds convincing on “Live Your Dreams” and “Where Did You Go?” with an attractive honey richness to her effortless vibrato. Soft and gentle yet with some octane.
