Here’s a hip little disc for reggae fans. Christos DC wrote arranged and produced all of the material here and his earthy voice is a plus, as he’s backed by a solid band that includes brass and Hammond B3 on most of the tracks, as well as some strings here and there. The band has a punch as the organ grooves on “Same Old Sing Along,” and the clipped horns are impressive throughout, nice and sweaty, as on “Lovely Lady” and “So Hard to Say.” Rock solid release.
