If you miss the sounds and visions of Weather Report, you’re going to have a field day with this release by Tony Bianco/dr, Michel Delville/g and Dave Liebman/sax-fl. Exciting electronic mixed with grooving yet complex grooves are in abundance as on the fusion title track and the King Crimsonish “A Sight.” Elliptical bop and hip hopping drumming features Liebman’s tenor on “Utoma” and “Lloyd” respectively, while his soprano dances over a funky rivultet on “Voice.” Delville’s guitar and effects take you on an enthusiastic twelve minute journey on “Elisabeth” while his moody musings, Bianco’s tom toms and Liebman’s wooden flute deliver a mystical “In A Silent Way.” Lots to enjoy here.
