Here’s a reggae artist you might not have heard before, but he’s got a strong bite. Mighty Mystic has a strong and rich voice, and on this collection of 14 tunes is aggressive and filled with rich production, incessant grooves and full bodied horns. Hard to understand the meaning behind “taking back” the country in either the lyrics or as a basic message. Who are they taking it from? When did they actually “have” it? Songs of victimization without an answer may get the fists pumping in the air, but Mystic needs to show his might with some ultimate answers.
