Burkhard Mahler has spent almost 15 years composing music for TV, infomercials and cinema. Here, he puts out his own label and brings together seventeen of his songs from various productions. Some have a pop flavor with vocals, such as “The One Flower,” while others are thoughtful instrumentals. Lots of the time you feel as if you’re listening to a soundtrack, with either background musings with piano and guitar, or an anguished indie rock vocal with contemporary lyrics and themes. There are no credits to the artists, so you just have to ask if you want to hear some new songs that you can add to your songbook, which is not a bad idea at all.
