The prolific tenor saxist Ivo Perelman teams up together with Joe Morris/eb and Balasz Pandi/dr for a collection of fiery tunes/improvisations. You’ve got frenetic and unrelenting energy emitted by the trio on material like “Freedom” and “Remember What Never Existed” which displays the endurance of the three interlopers. Pandi gets a chance to display his wares on the caroming “Universal Truth,” while excellent dialogue between tenor and bass keep the music moving forward on the title track. The themes and intensity varies like an opera on the 17 minute opus “Stigma” which demonstrates that there is quite a degree of telepathy along the roller coaster ride. Outside fans will eat this one up.
