Consisting of Jamie Saft/org-key, Joe Morris/g, Trevor Dunn/b and Balazs pandi, Slobber Pup delivers 5 tracks of musical anarchy disguised as progressive jazz. If you’re not completely assaulted by the 26 minute “Accuser” that mixes thrashing guitars, organs and drums like Starving Students is moving your instruments to a new city, then the 11 minute “Black Aces” and 13 minute “taint of Satan” (which name makes sense, since Satan’s other name is “Accuser”) will get you running for earplugs. A semi funky “Suffrage” and two minute “Basalt” are hints of an oasis, but they are too little too late, and a trip to the audiologist is definitely in order after taking this session in. This dog needs spaying!
