Singer/songwriter Coral Egan fits into the indie/folk category with a hint of jazz inflection due to her voice sounding a bit like she grew up on the Norah Jones side of life. Here, she sings with simple guitar, piano, bass and drum accompaniment, and keeps the no frills approach to her singing on “Soul Sunday’ and “A Couple of Apartments Apart.” Her voice sounds earthy and rich on the Cumberland Riverish “Razor Love,” while the aggressive sounds on “What Are You Doing” are laden with angst. Quirky , but with some points to make.
