Michael Sahl & Eric Salzman: Civilization and its Discontents

This modern “opera” consists of two “movements” of sounds, genres and attitudes that come across like a bad day at the local Renaissance Faire. If your idea of a good time is scatological rhymes, 70s cliché’s (“If it feels good do it”? Really? Isn’t that how STD’s and AIDS got so endemic?) and various crude sayings that you should have given up by the time you became a junior in college, then you’ll feel at home while you’re listening to this with your bong and lava lamp. I’m a believer that people use foul language when they’ve run out of ideas, and these Baby Boomers could use some creativity beyond smarminess.
