Guitarist Christ Taylor got my attention on this disc when I read in the liner notes that he dedicated the music, in part to Bela Lugosi. That sort of gives you the eclectic mindset of this guy. He teams up with a rotating group of musicians ranging from Dave Weckl/dr to Steve Tabaglione/ss. The music is classic jazz/rock fusion, with lots of 70s energy mixed with 21st century sophistication and programming. A tune like “All Of Us” while only including Ric Fierbaracci with the leader, has Taylor on guitars, programming and other keyboards that makes the music quite exciting. Others like “Voices In My Head” and “Here To There” include energetic rhythms by the foundation guys in order to lay the groundwork for some nice wire work by Taylor himself. Amazing how this genre still sounds exciting, when musical styles since then have yawned there way fore and aft.
