It’s hard to resist such a cheerful and upbeat session as this one by adult contemporary/smooth jazz keyboardist Patrick Bradley. He teams up with stalwarts Jeff Lorber/g-key, Jimmy Hasslip/b, gary Novak/dr, Dave Koz/ss, Eric Marienthal/ss and others on this accessible and varied mix of originals. His clean touch on piano is enjoyable on “All In” and the title track, with some hip electric grooves palpable along with Marienthal on”Blue Skies” and “Catalan.” Danceable pieces such as the soul funk “Shoreline,” “North of Evermore” and “Sierra” have Haslip and Novak create some irresistible patterns that make you remember one of the reasons people like music. It’s not for a museum exhibit, but for getting out there and having some fun. Bradley and company deliver well on that level.
