Soft, spacious and ambient moods are created by Jon Durant and Robert Jurjenal, who play various electric, acoustic, fretless, synthesized and touch guitars with an occasional guest for added flavor. Lovely drapery wafts on ”Distance Groove” the chunky “Mirage” and the ambient “On The Water” with the strings creating textures and framework. With added percussion by Andi Pupato, echoey effects get misty on “Early Evening Colors” and pastoral on “Beguiling Eyes” as Colin Edwin/s bass and Aleksei Saks’ trumpet create a pastoral atmosphere. Ethereal voicings by Inna Kovtun add elegance to the dimensions for a concert recording. The music is alluring in its quietude.
