TK Blue: The Rhythms Continue

Short, sweet and concise conversations are held between TK blue who plays a bunch of saxes, flutes and percussion instruments, as he teams up with guests for cheerful rapport. TK does a handful of personal solo performances, with h is rich alto giving intimate reads (reeds?) on “The Last Day” or on “Where”, both from the pen of legend Randy Weston. With Kalimba, you get some exotic tones as on “A Gathering Of Elders” and the exotic “At The Crossroads of Touba” while the team bops on Weston’s “Hi Fly” and goes post bop on “ Dinner Chez Gladys.”  Melba Liston’s “Just Waiting: A Sister’s Lament” is a palpable deep mix of reeds, with Asian flute harmonies giving shade like a Bodhi tree on “World 3: The Last Goodbye.” Life affirming melodies.
