Lannie Battistini: Moving On

Lannie Batistini plays piano and keyboards in a warm smooth jazz meeting R&B session with a core of Jose Albelo/dr, Juan Vergara/congas, Michel Salazar/b and a mix and match of guests. With extra  horns and percussion, Battistini sails and grooves on “Hands In Motion’ with some toe tapping guitar work by Mark VIncent, whereas with Lemay Olano James’ violin, he takes you on an exotic read of Duke Ellington’s classic “Caravan.” Richard Schumacher’s guitar glides along with Jorge Dobal’s trombone “Moving On” and Kalani Trinidad’s flute floats on the lovely Brazilian “Em Seus Olhos.” Battistini’s soulful synth sighs on “Precious  Love” and his keyboards make some fun funk pulsations on “Show Me” and bops with Salazar on the percolating “Emotion Devotion.” Music that slides down easy like a cool drink on a warm day.
