Paul Kelly: Nature

Singer/songwriter Paul Kelly mixes Dylanesque moods with Cumberland gap moods on this folksy minstrel album of compositions. With support by, but not limited t, Bill McDonald, Ashley Naylor/eg, Cameron Bruce/org, Dan Kelly /g and a string team, Kelly mixes the poems by the likes of Walt Whitman and Dylan Thomas set to his own music as well as his own lyrics. Cozy Nashville Skylines are created on “Morning Storm” and “Seagulls Of Seattle” while Kelly takes you to a soulful saloon on “Bound To Follow (Aisling Song).” A lovely and spacious lullaby is delivered on “Mushrooms” and Kelly invites you to his parlor on “The River Song” with “The Trees” hinting at vintage Blonde on Blonde. McCabe’s moments in abundance.
