The Bob Lanza Blues Band: Kids, Dogs and Krazy Women

Rich and blue jeaned blues are served up by Bob Lanza as he sings like a truck driver and plays like a juke jointer along with Anthony Krizan/g-dr-perc, John Ginty/p-B3, Dave Lockhart/b and Vin Mott/dr-harp. Lanza and Mott’s harp create some nice earthy delta sounds with some slide work on the strutting title track while the team  punches like a middleweight on “Hey Cotton” and throws you down on the mat like Freddie Blassie on “Hey Baby.” The team delivers a Chicago shuffle on “Every Side of Lonesome” and serves up a Kansas City BBQ beat on the fun “Let Me In” while Lanza plays like Atkins and swings like Bob Wills on the toe tapping take of “Walking After Midnight.”  Ginty’s B3 smolders on a searing “Not the Man I Used To Be” and hits 8 beats to the bar on a stomping “Little Momma. A smoky night at the Moose Lodge!
