Pianist and composer Senri Oe revisits some of his earlier compositions in solo piano form, showing great lyricism in both pen and ivory on this rich album. He’s got a warm touch, and he can make the mood go uptown as on “Never See You Again” or produce some Errol Garner baroque touches on the title track. Some rich and dark hues are spacious on “You” and he is playful and winsome during “Wallabee Shoes” while getting deep into a mood on “Arigato.” Strong outing of music that keeps in your head.
