Sean Ardoin: Kreole Rock and Soul

Sean Ardoin brings rootsy sounds of Creole and Cajun with the blues as he plays the accordion among other Southern exposures on this exciting album. You get some 70s guitar rocks as he shouts out on “Kick Rocks” and a mix of metal slashes into the mix on “Mama.” Wonderful two steppers “Do My Thing” and “In it For A Minute” are irresistibly joyful, and even Steve Miller’s hit “Abracadabra” is given a calypso pulse, along with some synth drapery. Fun hip hop is added to the gumbo of “Just What I Needed” while funky blues mix acoustic guitar with the squeeze box on “Keep On Moving.” This one will put either a smile on your face or your ‘make you put dancing shoes on .
