Calm toned guitarist Chris Platt leads a team of PhilAlbert/b and Robin Claxton/dr through seven lyrical originals. His strings are tensile with a dash of Jim Hall as Claxton’s cymbals coax the pace on the relaxed “I Like the Sad Ones” and the gently timed “Plenty.” He and Albert create a quietude in “No More” and the team shows it’s bluesy struts on “Platter” before Platt closes out on a tender solo “When You’re Not Here.” Stringed impressions.
