Lorenzo Feliciati: Elevator Man

Lorenzo Feliciati plays fretted bass, moog bass, electric guitars, upright bass, keyboards and the obligatory “effects” on a collection of jazz fusion originals with a series of rotating guests. Moments opf King Crimson influence pop up with Cuong Vu’s trumpet on “Three Women” and “14 Stones” while Pat Mastelotto’s drums leave no doubt as to the tendencies. The bass work mixes well with the edgy horn sections on “Elevator Man” while the series of “duets”’ with Feliciati teaming with drummers Davide Pettirossi and Davidee Savarese on “Unchained Houdini” and “U Turn in Falmouth” create some kinetic sparks, the team of the leader with DJ Skizo is a sonic traffic jam session.  Tensile and tight.
