A FENDER BENDER…Galen Weston: Plugged In

Guitarist Galen Weston shows what can be done with a Fender guitar here as he teams up with David Woodhead/b, Al Cross/dr, Matt Horner/p and Richard Underhill/perc among some guests on a bluesy rock excursion. He has some fun with the wah wah on “Funk Opus #2” and “Rock Jam” but still shows his twang on “Tasteless.” He’s got a clean and sharp sound that gives hints of Carlos Santana on “Bensonite” and gives a nice and easy laid back groove on “The Yellow Guitar” while going acoustic on the back  porch on”Country.” Richard Underhill’s tenor add some soul to the smooth “Austin” and the upbeat “Calen’s Vice” has a nice dramatic mix of the horns and rhythm. This guy’s a must for guitar fans!
