Mark Muleman Massey: Been A Long, Long Time

Playing guitar and singing, Mark Muleman Massey takes you on a swampy tour of blues rocking with Clayton Ivey-Jim Whitehead/key, Billy Lawson-Travis Wammack-Kelvin Holly, Bob N. Weaver/b, Robert Fossen/harm, Roger Starr/dr and The Webster Street  Horns on a mix of covers and originals. He gives a funky and fun read on Hank Williams’ “Hey Good Looking” and blows blue smoke with the keys on Tom T. Hall’s “ That’s How I Got To Memphis”. He gives a hint of Al Green’s soul stomping on the hip “She’s Married To The Streets” and the horns give a STAXY feel to “My Used To Be”. He’s  a good story teller as well, laying it out on “Baby’s Gone” and “I’m Sorry About That”. Memphis stew well stirred.
