Old School crooner Dave Damiani takes on Boomer Hits in a Rat Pack fashion on this latest big band release. He selection of tunes is quite tasty, featuring Aaron McLendon’s tribute to Steve Gadd on the clever and clean take of “50 Ways” while getting in to a disco mood with him and Grant Geissman on “Never Too Much” and a funky “Give Me The Night”. The sax section sways on the R&Bish “Rich girl” and the sections are bold as they punch through “Heart To Heart”. Damiani works the songs like he works a room, with class, style and swagger. Yeah, I’m singing to you there in the third row!
