Pianist Terry Waldo delivers early swing hot’cha jazz on this album with vocalists Tatian Eva –Marie, Veronica Swift and Jerron Paxton/banj backed by the two stepping team of Nick Russo-Arnt Arntzen/banj, Jim Fryer-Sam Chess/tb, Colin Hancock/ts-tp, Dennis Lichtman-Ricky Alexander-Evan Arntzen/cl, Mike Davis/tp, Jay Rattman/bss, Brian Nalepka/b and Jay Lepley/dr. Swift is gloriously laconic with Waldo on “Wafter You’ve Gone’ with Eva-Marie belting out “I Get The Blues When It Rais” with Alexander. Paxton is a hoot on “ Bill Bailey” and “The Frog Song” with the leader in full stride on “Wolverine Blues” and a 78rpm sounding “Maple Leaf Rag”. Repeal Prohibition!
