The album by cellist Vincent Courois and the double reed team of tenor saxist Daniel Erdmann with Robin FIncker doubling on clarinet is stated “to be listened to in two parts”. Not sure what the dividing line of the 16 songs are sonically, as there is plenty of abstract bowing, and picking and blowing to spare on both “Parts”, as on “Corneggioi” or the askance clarinet of “Port Louis”. Coutois goes pizzicato on “Madona” and bows darkly for “ Groingen” , with Erdmann huffing and puffing on “Garana” and brooding in “ Budapest”. Any transcriptions available?
