Delicate wisps are created by vocalist Roxana Amed teamed up with pianist Frank Carlberg and a supporting team of Adam Kolker/reeds, Simon Willson/b and Michael Sarin/dr. Amed creates ethereal harmonies on “Pido El Silencio” and is dreamily melancholic with Carlberg for “Antes”. Rich clarinet wood floats and slithers on the lurking “Moradas” and folksy “Signos” with a breathy tenor sighing with Amed for “Del Otro Lado”. Carlberg and Willson meld with Kolker’s clarinet for a framework on the title tune, with some harsh tenor sax and Monkish angles on “Crepusculo”. No moon at all.
