#2 pencil toned guitarist Greg Diamond teams up with Edward Perez/b and Ludwig Afonso/dr for a collection of mostly originals of the post bop feel. He creates some nifty lines for the dancing “ Beata” and creates morning dew droplets for the reflective “Rstros”. The rhythm team is peppy for “”Ensimismado” simmers with th high hat on “ Tiniebla”. A read of “Giant Steps”is crisp and fluid, while “El Condor Pasa” is gently assuaged. Perez does some n ice work with the leader on “ Caprichosa” and Afonso drives in 4th well on “Salas”.
