Vocalist Matt Barber gives respectful reads of jazz classics with a supporting team of Bradley Young-Marc LeBrun/p, David Enos-Brian Ward/b, Greg Sadler/dr and a collection of guests. His voice is reminiscent of Barry Manilow, clear and warm, as on Broadway-ish reads of “Oh! Look At Me Now”, the upbeat “For Once In My Life” and the4 bold and brassy “Almost Like Being In Love”. He shows wanderlust on “Just The Way You Are” and is dreamy on “Moon River”, and as assuring as the boy next door for his own “Moments In Time”. Eager to please.
