Evan Llanes, Joana Elena Obieta and Ayameyh Bell share the vocals, with a six member brass section, six member rhythm team and a mix and match team of guests. Marcos Costa sings urgently over the avalanche of percussion on’ Mambo”. Llanes is sleek around the warm keyboards and rich backbeat of “Le Mejor Mujer”, with Bell pulsating with pianist Ahmed Alom Vega and percussionist Plena on “Piloto”. There’s a few pieces with synthy sounds, as on the party hearty strut of “La Coda” and the punchy soulfest of “Un Ratito” , with mixes of genres melding together like a secret sauce. Picante’!
