Robertson shows his wares on the solo “Maven’s Arrival” which is filled with warmth, while he delivers a swining line for pianist Mason Margut on “East of The Son”. Tenorist Lew Del Gatto gives a big sound to a swaggering “The Next Thing To Come” and creates a formidable front line with a Lee Morganish trumpeter James Suggs on “Majestic Nights” and a New Orleans stomper “Phat Friday”.
