Doxas’ tenor sax ranges between a furry fog during the thoughtful “Michael Attias” to some heavy tonguing for the quirky and percussive “Shiny Things,” most warm with Sacks on the plaintive “Doot Wop.” Lober and Sperrazza lead the team through a boogaloo on the fun “After The Money” and the bumpy ride of “Yup!” has some thick tenor tones. A sing songy “Flim Flam” includes volleys between piano and tenor, with the team drifting like a morning mist for “Twelve Years.” Jazz pastels.
