Guitarist John Basile plays guitar and programming to give a wide ranging feel of Christmas tunes on this sublime album. A couple of the tunes, such as “Auld Lang Syne” and the traditional “Toyland” have Basile mixing his acoustic strings over a rich samba feel, warming up the holidays. A George Benson toned “Silver Bells” and “Christmas Time Is Here” brings a Latin cadence, and he’s tender with a bass line on a relaxed “Oh Tannenbaum.” A mistletoe joy!
