Warm and confident in tone, Audrey Silver sings and saunters through a blend of her own material and some overlooked gems on this album teaming her with Bruce Barth/p-org, Paul Beaudry/b, Anthony Pinciotti/dr, Marcus Printup/tp, Tom Beckham/vib and Marc Ciprut/g. Silver and brass by Printup work well together on the warm “When I Look Into Your Eyes” and swaying read of “Comes Love” while she takes on the prog-rock tune “Solsbury Hill” by Peter Gabriel and gives it a new coat of paint. She bops well on the fun “Up Jumped Spring” with Beckham” and is big and bold on the bright “Can’t We Be Friends.” Cooing with Printup on “New Year’s Eve” she is also lush with Barth on a dreamy “How Deep Is The Ocean” and giving an aria with him on “I Knew He Was There.” In control and comfortable.
