Guitarist and composer Alexander Noice leads a progressive rock (or is it progressive jazz?) team of alto saxist Gavin Templeton, bassist Colin Burgess, drummer Andrew Lessman that features the bright and other worldly vocals of Karina Kallas and Argenta Walther through highly complex and intricate originals. The high pitched voices go through an obstacle course of themes, from the robotic space frantic sounds of the hard driving “Affectation” to the angular and Sci-Fi “Ambit.” Computerized flute sounds and RUSH like vocals create a hard hitting “Black Darwin” that sounds like Yes on steroids, while 80’s pop pulse meeting Kraftwerk and Talking Heads ricochet’s off the walls on “Breath In The Ether.” Lots of chaos, controlled cacophony, fiendishly difficult guitar and alto sax work that sounds Darwinian in its struggle to survive. Are we not men?
