Lisen Rylander Love plays just about everything, including (deep breath) tenor sax, omnichord, kalimba, Hawaiian Art Violiln, keyboards, bass clarinet, percussion and “live” electronics, with some percussion by Henrick Rylander. The result is a collection of dark moods, stark vox on “Shine,” Sighing tenor, voices and tapes on “Ask Me” and throbbing electronic pulses, guitar echoes and thoughts reminiscent of Brian Eno and Robert Fripp on material such as “Border” and “Nothingness.” More noodles with flavor than a soup kitchen in Little Tokyo.
