Gritty and leathered vocals from Chris Ellis team with bluesy guitar supplied by Edis Mano and a team of Severin Graff/b with Nico Looser/dr on this throwback of a bluesyrocker set. The band sounds like vintage Free, with a meld of Cumberland Gap and shadows for “Here and Now” and some dramatic thunder on the dashing forward “Where We Belong.” With some swampy B3, Ellis snarls out “Whisky” and sounds soulful on the Allmann Brothers’ southern sounding “Badwater.” The team shows its funky side on the back beat of “Georgia,” a touch or rural picking as they go troubadour on the successful “I Want You Back” and then take you to a Vaudeville casual on the back porchy “Jeannine.” Blue jeans well worn with no starch.
