The intriguing trio NES includes two cellos (Nesrine Belmokh & Matthieu Saglio), with both on vocals and David Gadea for percussion. The moods emphasized exotic and Arabic atmospheres, with folksy percussion on the clip clopping “You Made It Hard For Me” to the carvanesque “Bye Bye.” Tender voices blend intimately on “Houzni” and droplets of strings create sparkling stars in the dark night for ”Allouane.” Some French vocals take you to the Left Bank during “Laisse-Moe Entrer” and “Le Temps,” but this simply adds to the bohemian moods the spill out like rich olive oil.
