Jeremy Nail plays guitar and sings his compositions with a team of Jeremy Menking/eg, Pat Harris/b, Pat Manske/dr and Bukka Allen/key along with some cameo guests. The songs have a poetic and indie feel, particularly something like “Fields of Our Fathers” which includes Eleanor Whitmore’s violin and programming from Chris Masterson. Double guitar pieces like “Abiquiu” and “Other Side of Time” have thick textures and reflective moods, while “Rolling Dice” brings a Cumberland Gap mood due to Menking’s’s steel guitar and Nail’s back porch acoustic guitar. Thoughtful and reflections in abundance.
