Guitarist/vocalist/pianist Treya Lam delivers 14 indie/folk originals on this album where she mixes and matches with Catherine Popper/b, Mee/vi, Olive Alice/cel,Ysanne Spevack/str and a guest chorus. Her voice and delivery style give dashes of Melody Gardot’s understated wisp and Madeleine Peyroux’s bohemia, as she sings like a street minstrel with guitar on “Magic” and troubadour’d “Other Side.” There are some eerie and long shadowed moments with edgy guitar during “To The Sun” while she gets harrowing during “Peace of Mine.” At the piano, she takes you to the parlor for “Keep the Faith” and is intimately restrained during the Spartan “Nothing.” Tales by the campfire.
