Diana Purim and Eyedentity: Many Bodies, One Mind

Here’s a multicultural and musical mix that has hints of sounds ranging from South Asia to South America. Most of the songs are composed by Diana Purim, Krishna Booker and/or Rashid Duke, with the musicians of Booker/dr, Gibi Dos Santos/perc, Robert Keyle/sax, Jesse  Olema/vi, Christian Gamez/turntales, Andre de Santanna/b, Grecco Buratto/g, Booker/p and Purim-Booker/vocals making the major contributions.

The moods range from the ethereal mix of voices and woodwinds on “Tombo in 7/4” to the curry’d Brasilia of “Many Bodies.” Indian tones and hip hop meld with English voices on”Don’t Deny” and electronic R&B grooves deeply during “Echos.” Exotic sitar during “This is Me” or American acoustic guitar on the folksy “Liquid Light” contrast with soulful horns and women’s chorus on the celebratory “Acordei.” A wide palate of colors and flavors are displayed on this rainbow of sounds.
