Consisting of Ayal Tsubery/eb, Peter Kronrief/dr, Nadav Peled/g, Hailey Nisewanger/ss and Daniel Meron/p-key, Zoo Berries specializes in creating reflective moods with a soulful current. This ep includes originals that keep it mellow and still spare some time for swinging creativity. On piano, Meron does a nice rapport with Nisewanger on the relaxed groove of Tsubery’s bass on “Back in Time” while his keys are reflective for some spoken poetry by Keren Or Tayar on the meditative “Acceptance.” Peled’s sandied guitar gets swampy during “Final Decision,” and trudges along the brooding “Brother” as guest Arnan Raz and his tenor weaves around Nisewanger’s soprano. Mellow Millenial musings with an attractive pulse.
