Two Islands III” and Souza teams with Dan Pratt’s rich tenor for a dramatic “Power Politics I.” that includes rich harmonies as well as a funky beat for Tim Hagans’ warm flugelhorn. Vocalist Luciana Souza provides enticing voice as the team gallops during “Two Islands III” and the team is rich and pastoral during “Power Politics II.”

Aubrey Johnson’s voice is featured on the 4 part “Fractured” with misty glissando saxes  and a funky groove, and Matt Holman’s fluffy trumpet during “V” is an impressionistic delight. Some lovely pastoral harmonies mix with a hip groove on ”II “ making this a collection for the head and heart.
