King Crimson drummer Pat Mastelotto teams up with vocalist Lorenzo Esposito Fornasari, bassist Colin Edward (from Porcupine Tree) and guitarist Carmelo Pipitone (Mara Sui Tub) for a mix of heavy metal, rock and pro grog. Hints of late period Crimson team up with string sounds and electric guitar work on “ Till the Sunrise Comes” with a mix of piano, and electric groove creates shadows on “Dirty Rain.” Fornasari’s voice at times sounds he’s heard some Dire Straits on the dark “Too Numb” while he gets dusty on the heavy metal “Just Another Day” and medieval “Capture or Retreat.” Guitars chime with funky percussion o “Searching For The Code” and there’s a riff fest on “ Collapsing Hopes.” A joy for prog heads!
