The Kentucky Headhunters consist of Richard Young/voc-g, Doug Phelps, b-voc, Greg Martin-voc, Fred K. Young/dr-voc and Kevin McKendree/p-B3. They specialize in rock, blues and boogie on this collection of mostly originals, mostly in the vintage 70s realm. Young’s got an fm-album oriented voice, and it works well on the twangy “God Loves A Rolling Stone” and laid back “Crazy Jim.” Steady rock beats are in abundance on “Caught In A Dream” and the team gets funky n “Rainbow Shine.” Blue plate specials served daily here.
