This is the second collection of transcriptions I’ve heard from guitarist Ken Hatfield, and you don’t have to play the six strings to appreciate the music or learn from them. The pieces are clear, concise and melodic. Easy to read, I tried them on my clarinet and had a great time working over the progressions. The pieces have a feeling of improvisation, so it’s not difficult to use these as take off points for your own ideas. A nice way to stretch out a bit.
